Unable to connect via RDP after reboot, unless reboot completed via iLO
Hi, I have set-up 2 new servers and I am getting a problem when I try to RDP onto them after a reboot. When I reboot the server while currently connected via RDP session, once restarted I am unable to log back on. If I then iLO onto the server I can log in, then initiate another reboot from the iLO and the RDP is once again working. These are 2 new HP servers which only have Office 2k and a besopke piece of sotware running on them. Does anyone know why this may be happening? Many thanks, Marc

Hi Marc, Can you verify againthat it reboots when you do it from RDP? It happens with me when I reboot from RDP (non console session) and it just disconnect the RDP session but doesnt reboot really and later we can not connect with RDP also and need to reboot from iLO. Connect the RDP through mstsc /console command to reboot the server. Update the RDP client on your machine from where you are taking RDP session of servers.
