Unable to find old Distribution List
I have a DL called "Admins" on my server.
from yesterday, i can't seem to find her using outlook.
i type admins in the "to" field, ctrl+k - and it says "no suggestions"
checked in the AD and in the Exchange server - the DL is there.
if i'm sending mail by the full address - admins@my.domain
the group is found.
Until yesterday all was good.
In Addition, tried creating new DL. couldn't find it either in the outlook clients.
any idea guys?
thanks

Hi,
If you are running Outlook in cached mode it will take up to 48 hours before a new DL can be seen from Outlook.
It sounds as if there might be some issues with your OAB generation so this would be the place to start troubleshooting (and of course look into the event viewer for clues).

Hi,
First please try to check if DL in the address book when you use OWA.
Please try to check if DL in the address book on other mailbox users outlook.
If the problem only occur on one mailbox, then please try to use test e-mailautoconfiguration to check if any error report when you download OAB.
If the problem occur to all the mailbox then please check if you have hide the DL(Hide from Exchange address lists ) from Exchange management console or use get-distributiongroup -identity 'DL' |fl.
Note: Please post the detail error report here.

Xiu

Have you done any settings which is related to GAL?
Please try to use the script from the article below to export SMTP proxy address.

Also please try to
run update-globaladdresslist command to update the Global Address List.
Besides, I’d like to know how many entry in your GAL.
What is type of your distribution group? security group? distribution group? Global? Universal?
Did you create it from Exchange or ADUC?

Hi,
Have to check is primary smtp address is properly stammed. and also you have to enable and disable the optrion Hide from address book.
And wait some time 15-30 minutes for replicate, and then check with outlook (if outlook open then close outlook and then reopen again) and Webmail using default GAL. In OAB, may be it takes time to dispaly, So wait till next OAB generation and distribution
schedule.
Thanks,
