Unable to install Exchange 2007 Management Tools on Windows XP SP3
I'm unable to install the Exchange 2007 Management Tools on my Windows XP SP3 machine. I go through setup but the "Readiness Check" fails. It says the following: Error: This computer requires the update described in http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=92858. Without this update you might encounter incorrect time zone information. I went to the link and tried to install the patch but receive the following message when installing: Update cannot be installed as a newer or same timezone update ha already been installed on the system Im not sure what else to do at this point; I need to get the console installed. Please let me know if you have any suggestions. Thank you!

I have seen this sometime back but don't remember what was the solution for this. Why don't you check without SP1 source available at below link... Hi,You could try first uninstalling sp3, then install the tool again. Another method:Setting the registry keys: HKLM \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows NT \CurrentVersion \ Time Zones \ Pacific Standard TimeTZI: REG_BINARYValue: E001000000000000C4FFFFFF00000B0000000100020000000000000000000300000002000200000000000000After that, please check this issue.ThanksAllen

Thanks for all the replies! I modified the registry as Allen suggested and then reran the installer. This time the Readiness Check was successful and I was able to install the console. Question: Should I change the registry back or should I leave it? Thanks again!
