Hi All, Im new to Exchange and trying to install E 2007 and couldnt complete the installation successfully. Setup fails while installing mailbox role with a below message [mixed mode with E2K3SP2]. Any lead will be highly appreciated. have you alreadyinstalled hub transport and client access roles ? Is everything ok on the network side with DNS, DCs etc ....use dcdiag and netdiag

Yes, I have tested using nltest, netdiag and the results are good. I also installed Exchange BPAT 2.7 and receive no errors while I run a scan for E2007 readiness. Finally I have completed installation of other roles except mailbox role. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

I had the same problem. I deleted the own created "recipient policies" (not the DEFAULT POLICY) in Exchange 2003 Server. After this , i intalled the maibox role again - and now it works.
