Unable to see AD Contact as Mail Contact in EMC 2007
With our AD, I have an OU that contains 250 entries of type "Contact". On the General tab of each contact displays their E-mail address. None of these people show up in the GAL. Within the Exchange 2007 EMC under Recipient Configuration, Mail Contact, none of those names appear. However, inside that same OU are several "Distribution Groups" and each one contains various combinations of the AD Contacts. All of these show up in the GAL. Within the Exchange 2007 EMC under Recipient Configuration, Distiibution Groups, I see all of these Distribution Groups listed as "Mail-Enabled Universal Distirbution Group" and if I use the EMC and view the members, I see all those AD contacts. Assuming I need to do this, how do I "mail enable" an AD Contact so it shows up in the "Mail Contact" folder in the Exchange 2007 EMC ? Thanks, Bob

Thanks. I used the PowerShell I modifed the columns displaed in ADUC to expose Name and E-mail Address. I pulled this into Excel and created formula: ="Enable-MailContact -Identity """ & B1 & """ -ExternalEmailAddress " & B2 Copied and Pasted the formula column into Notepad and saved as Enable.PS1 Ran Exchange Management PowerShell and typed in .\Enable.PS1 10 seconds later, I had all 250 contacts mail enabled. Thanks!
