Unexpected error 0X170468A8 while executing command 'Get-logonUser'
Hi All,
We have installed Exchange 2010 CAS server in existing 2003 Exchange organization. We have 3 child domains and each domain as 2003 exchange servers deployed. We are unable to launch EMC after installing the first CAS server. Powershell launches fine
but some commands do not work. We have already done the following fixes but none have helped, we request some suggestions and possible fixes.
When we launch EMC we get the following error "Unexpected error 0X170468A8 while executing command 'Get-logonUser'."
Have installed are pre-reqs described in Technet. Added the user account to Exchange server management, Organization management, exchange interorp, exchange servers and exchange trusted servers RBAC group,
Ran the WinRM quickconfig command Checked firewall settings Tried installing another CAS server but issue persists on that server too. checked the SID history as the servers are virtualised.
We are planning to log a case with Microsoft but wanted to check here first if we get any more possible fixes from production environments who have faced the issue.

Do you see anything in App Log?
I would give a shot running Setup.com /preparead and check the issue.
Are you running Exchange 2010 RTM or SP1? Gulab | MCITP: Exchange 2010-2007 | Lync Server 2010 | Windows Server 2008 | Skype: Exchange.Ranger | Blog: www.ExchangeRanger.Blogspot.com

Here is the things you can do...It might sound weird but that's a truth....it's know issue.
Until a fix is available, there are two workarounds to this issue:
1:Use the Exchange Management Shell instead of the Management Console to manage any servers exhibiting this issue
2:Use an alternate account to perform administrative tasks using the Exchange Management Console on servers exhibiting this issue

We had to rebuild the servers again and then reinstall the software after which it started to work. The servers were installed using a common build template which was causing issues, the OS on servers and its updates had to be manually installed after which
EMC and EMS started to work.
