If you go to %SystemDrive%\ExchangeSetupLogs\ExchangeSetup.log what is that last error reported in the log? It should be marked with [ERROR] and be one of the last few lines in the log.

Hi there,Having tweaked with OWA on my Exchange Server 2007, it's broken. I followed the instructions on Microsoft's Support KB - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/320202/en-us. However, when I came to uninstall the Client Access role, I also had an uninstallation error.I checked the setup logs and came across this:[2] Searching configurable objects of type "ADWebServicesVirtualDirectory" with filter "$null", scope "SubTree" under the root "DOMAIN-CONTROLLER" on Source "myex07.mydomain.local".[2] [ERROR] Unexpected Error[2] [ERROR] The system cannot find the path specified.[2] Ending the task's processing.[2] Ending the task's processing.[1] The following 1 error(s) occurred during task execution:[1] 0. ErrorRecord: The system cannot find the path specified.[1] 0. ErrorRecord: System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x80070003): The system cannot find the path specified.at System.DirectoryServices.DirectoryEntry.Bind(Boolean throwIfFail)at System.DirectoryServices.DirectoryEntry.Bind()at System.DirectoryServices.DirectoryEntry.get_AdsObject()at System.DirectoryServices.PropertyCollection.get_Count()at Microsoft.Exchange.Management.Metabase.IisUtility.GetProperties(DirectoryEntry webObj)at Microsoft.Exchange.Management.SystemConfigurationTasks.GetExchangeVirtualDirectory`1.WriteResult(IConfigurable dataObject)[1] [ERROR] The system cannot find the path specified.I'm figuring that I have a Metabase error - however, having tried to use ADSUTIL to repair what I believe to be the faulty key SMTPsvc\1\PickupDirectory (setting it to X:\Exchange_Folder\TransportRoles\Pickup), and still getting errors (apparently the KeyType property hasn't been set correctly and I can't amend the key until this is fixed).I'm totally stumped!!!! HELP?!?!Many thanks in advance.... P.S. If anyone can help me I'll Paypal you cash for a beer!

Starting: C:\WINDOWS\system32\regsvr32.exe arguments: /s /u "C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\bin\Monitoring\x86\DiagnosticCmdletController.dll"[9/17/2007 12:33:22 PM] [2] Process standard output: [9/17/2007 12:33:22 PM] [2] Process standard error:
I solved it by registerding the dll file again and running the uninstall and it worked like a charm.
Go to the ExchangeInstallationFolder\bin\Monitoring\x86\ and run regsvr32 DiagnosticCmdletController.dll. It will report that the registeration succeded sucessfully. Go to Add Remove Programs and uninstall the hub transport role.
Or AMD64 if your running 64 bit. which you are, as the bloody thing only comes in 64 bit.
