Uninstalled Norton now I have serious problems
I uninstalled Norton from my parents computer because of a .dll error on startup. Now when I start the computer none of the startup programs can start. The help and support doesn't work it says that it can't open the .exe file and asks to search for the appropriate program or find the program. In the run prompt if I type msconfig it says it can't open msconfig.exe and asks to search online for the appropriate program. It also says something about .ink files on startup. I tried to manually start one of them by using the program that it came from which was Kodak easyshare now all those startup icons have the little kodak logo on them. When you try to start them the Easyshare program opens and says it can't open that type of file. I don't have a clue where to start. Would putting Norton back on fix it?

You can try to boot your computer under clean boot mode.
For a clean boot, please try the below given steps,
-Click on start, then click on run (if run is not available then type run, as you click on start and hit enter).
-On the run window type "msconfig" (without quotes)
-Click on services tab, click on "hide all microsoft services", now click on disable all
-Click on startup tab, click on disable all
-Click on OK and restart the computer

Thanks, I ended up just starting in Safe Mode and returning to a restore point. Everything is fine now.
