Uninstalling Exchange 2007
Hello Everyone,
I don't know if this is the correct group or not. I have installed Exchange 2007 into an Exchange 2003 environment. I have not migrated specifically. After the installation completed, the information from 2003 showed up in 2007. I want to uninstall Exchange 2007 so that I can build a scc cluster. Will my uninstalling Exchange 2007 afftect the current Exchange 2003 environment that is in place and running? Thanks for you help.LenaDo What You Know

Hi Lena, I understand you haven't migrated specifically from E2K3 to E2K7. So, You can defiently go ahead and uninstall the exchange 2007 server from your organization and then implement Single copy cluster. Refer to the following article about Exchange 2003 to 2007 Migration. Make sure you have not done any of the migration process. If you have done any one of them, please revert back. Thank you for your response. I am supposed to be the primary lead on this, however, I know that someone may have been tinkering around. But, all that I have done is the AD prepartion. So the first article should show me what I need to look for and make sure that there are no changes other than what I have done, correct? Thanks again for your help Sathish :)Do What You Know

Yes Lena. You are correct. The firest article generally tells you how to migrate. Please refer to that and make sure not changes made in the environment. The AD Prepartion can't be reverted back. But, As you are planning for SCC it should be perfectly fine and good.Thank you :)
