Unistalling A faulty Exchange server
Hi
We have a corrupt exchange installation in our organization. We have 3 sites all with an exchange server. I have moved the users mailboxes in the faulty site to a database in one of the working exchange databases .
The faulty exchange server is really bad ranging from WinRM , Certificate problems , Faulty Database and a few other problems.
Can I uninstall this exchange as there are no user mailboxes using it and re install it ? Will this sort out the issues and please advise what the best procedure is.. I only have faulty backups..

It really depends on how well the exchange uninstall goes. The short answer is yes, you can remove Exchange and re-introduce a clean installation. However, you are probably going to run into issues uninstalling Exchange and will have to do some manual
cleanup before re-introducing exchange on that box. What version of Exchange are you running?

OK, so try to uninstall Exchange 2010 from that box and then I would recommend rebuilding that box. If the uninstall goes well then you shoudl be able to simply re-install Exchange on that box. Unfortunately there isn't really a supported method to manually
remove Exchange 2010. Check out this article, someone else ran into a similar issue:
