Unusual Load on 10/17/2011

	Hello,
These are Dual Quad Core systems with 32 GB of Ram. They are normally running at 30% CPU during the middle of our workday. This was an unusal event which is why I was asking.
Thanks

			Hi,
I recommend you to use Process Explorer to verify which exe eats CPU a lot.
Process Explorer v15.05

			Hello,
On Exchange 2010 SP1 with RU5, using Forfront 2010 For Exchange:
We had very high loading on 10/17/2010 (hovering above 90%) on all of our Exchange Systems (Mailbox Client Access and Hub Transport). This load subsided with the update of one of the Forefront Engines. Today with a very similar client and message load
we are running at under 50% load.
In the past I have had Virus Scanning Engine updates that have caused performance problems. Has anyone had a similar problem?

Thanks

			How is the server spec'd?
I recommend 4 CPUs with a mbx that also is running Forefront.

I have seen similar issues and have had to tweak the amount of engines used by ForeFront. More engines you use the better but you have to consider performance too. -

If it hasnt happened again, I wouldnt worry too much about. If its consistent, then run through the link Xiu posted when its happening.
