Update Existing Exchange 2010 SAN cert
There is plenty of guidence out there for generating a new CSR and completing the request, but I need to add and additional subalt to an existing 3rd party UCC cert. The process is easy enough from the 3rd party to update and download the updated one, but
I'm having trouble finding clear guidance on updating/replacing the existing one. I do not want to cenerate a new CSR, I only want to update it with a single additional subalt name
Anyone have clear instructions on this?/R DL

You will need to create a new CSR in order to add an additional name to the cert. Tim Harrington | MVP: Exchange | MCITP: EMA 2007/2010, MCITP: Lync 2010, MCITP: Server 2008, MCTS: OCS | Blog: http://HowDoUC.blogspot.com | Twitter: @twharrington

Do I need to resubmit the csr to the 3rd party and generate a new certificate or can I complete the csr with the current updated certificate with the added subalt?

Depends on who your CA is. For example, Digicert allows you to reissue:

I would talk with your CA
