Upgrading to Exchange server 2007 64 bit from the 32 bit version !!!
Hello Friends :I want to install Exchange server 2007 32 bit version and i know that is just not for production use but i want to use it as a demo for about two month , i want to know that , is that possible to upgrade that server to the 64 bit version ? if yes how ?Network is my LOVE

Mohammad,What you will need to do is create a new server or multiple servers which are member of the same Exchange organization. After this you can migrate the users to the 64-bit version. Hi,Not really a guide how to do it. But I will give a short explanation:- first install the mailbox role on a 64-bit server this will let you move the mailboxes from the 32-bit server to the 64-bit server- after all mailboxes are moved install both the hub and cas on the new server and configure them the same as the 32-bit server- ensure that the address book generation is also moved- reconfigure firewalls if necessary- remove the roles from the 32-bit serverRegards,JohanExchange-blog: www.johanveldhuis.nl
