Urgent.categorizer
Urgent need to release an email from the categorizer. how can I do? Exchange 2003 SP2

I would restart SMTP and the routing engine service.If that doesnt work,http://support.microsoft.com/kb/279616Adding a registry key to recategorize messagesIgnore the parts about rebuilding Exchange of course... remove the key if it works.

I created the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ System \ CurrentControlSet \ Services \ SMTPSVC \ Queuing \ DWORD ResetMessageStatus 1Restart the Services (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) - Microsoft Exchange Routing Engine ) but continues in the categorizer

Ok, remove that reg key.Time for troubleshooting and diags then:http://msexchangeteam.com/archive/2006/06/23/428114.aspxTroubleshooting messages stuck in 'Messages awaiting directory lookup' queue You should increase diags. and then check the event logs for errors on restart of SMTP and routing services.I assume there is only one message, yes?You mat want to also stop any AV or anti-spam services as a test, though catagorizer issues typically are Global Catalog related.

It gives no error and no mesnajes if more messages, as I see it?? The message is in the categorizer. I restarted the server.

If the queue is empty, how do you know the mail is still in categorizer?
