Urgent: Importing a multiple page word document into visio 2003

I have a word document which contains text, images, background image, header and footer.

I need to convert this document into a layered PDF, putting images on a non-printable layer, and text on a printable layer.

For this purpose I need to import the complete word document (multiple pages) into visio to create layers of images and texts.

Insert --> Object --> Create from file, imports only first page.

Copy from word and paste into visio does not copy background image and header and footer (with page no.).

Please advise as soon as possible how can I import complete word document into visio???

Thanks

Hi,
To your description, I test in my computer.
There are two ways to import a Word document into Visio as an object.
I recommend you try the following steps:
Open a new or existing drawing in Microsoft Visio.
Click "Insert" and "Object" from the Visio menu. The "Insert Object" dialog box opens.
Click the "Create from file" option. To link to the Word file from Visio, check "Link to file." Otherwise, leave it unchecked.
Click the "Browse" button within the Visio dialog box. The "Browse" dialog box displays.
Select and open the Word document you want to insert. You are redirected to the "Insert Object" dialog box. Click "OK" to add the Word document to your page.
Click a corner of the green handle and pull it outward to enlarge the document or push it inward to shrink it on your page. Place your mouse over the Word document and drag it where you want it to appear on your page.
We can double-click the document in Visio, itll show the complete file.

On the other hand, we can use Copy and Paste Word File Into Visio

Please Note: Since the web site is not hosted by Microsoft, the link may change without notice. Microsoft does not guarantee the accuracy of this information.

If the document has less then 10 page, I recommend we insert every page as a object.

Thank you George for your time.

Yes by double clicking the object (a word document inserted as object into visio through Insert --> Object --> Create from file) shows the complete word file.

BUT when I covert this drawing to PDF, still it shows only first page.

I got my basic requirement i.e Converting a word document into layered PDF in order to print text only and restrict images from printing by using Adobe Acrobat without taking help from Visio.

Below is the link how we can do it:

Hi,
According to your description, my understanding is that you need to save a doc as pdf to print the text without the images.
But Word 2003 does not provide the feature.
If I miss understanding something, please let me know.
As far as I know, we can realize it by the third-party programmes.
Hope its helps.
