Urgent copy the mailbox folders structure with its permissions in exchange 2007 sp2
Hi eveyone; I have mailbox with 200 subfolder and each subfolder has special permissions for specific user, Now we want to copy this mailbox structure to another mailbox and we want to keep the original permissions, I tried the export mailbox command, it was good but it didnt copy the permissions to the target mailbox (return the default permissions) so is there any way to copy the mailbox subfolders with its permissions to another mailbox?

Please, try this command Export-Mailbox -Identity MAILBOX_FROM -TargetMailbox ARCHIVE -TargetFolder ARCHIVE_FOLDER -StartDate 2010-02-01 -EndDate 2010-12-27 -DeleteContent -Confirm:$false But, this will copy all your email too. If you want only Folder Structures then pls look at this link http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook-help/copy-the-outlook-folder-structure-to-another-computer-HA001116603.aspx If your permissions are not going through folders then I can help you in writing a VB script :)

Hi Ashraf.khaliah, Sure, the cmdlet just could do with the folder structure and the item, but could not achieve to do with the folder permission, We need create some scripts. I would suggest that you could get all the permission for the subfolders, and then use set-mailboxfolderpermission for the new mailbox folder path for othe user who need some permission. Regards!
