Hi all. I'm trying to connect a mac os 10.4 running entourage 2004 to Exchange on sbs2k8 std. I've followed many blogs making sure that the full address is given but on synchronizing it reports an http error. Setup is as is: Exchange Server:server01.mydomain.com/exchange/user@mydomain.com in Advance Tab i have: Public Folder: server01.mydomain.com/public ssl is checked LDAP server: server01.mydomain.com I'm kinda stumped and welcome any pointers. T.I.A just to add.. on restarting Entourage it shows that it's connecting to the server on the bottom right then logging in as the user and getting list of messages but then nothing. If i then try to send a new email from the exchange account it then comes up with a http error - The server is unable to fullfill the request - mail could not be sent error 18497.

The Keychain Access application opens. From the Add Certificates windows, select the X509Anchors keychain. Username and pwd. Close Keychain Access.Have you tried with the public URL for the SBS 2008 box, such as remote.mydomain.com/exchange/user@mydomain.com?By default SBS 2008 configures an internal IP address for this DNS name, such as 10.0.0.2. BTW, this is the recommended way.Can you connect with Safari: https://remote.mydomain.com/owa? Note: remote is often used, but this may be anything: mail, webmail etc.Thinking a bit more: With the automatically generated certificate, it will typically support these three names:mydomain.comremote.mydomain.com (mail.mydomain.com, webmail.mydomain.com, etc)server01.mydomain.local (server01.anyname.local, etc).but often not server01.mydomain.comOf course, you may have a commercial certificate; server01.mydomain.com is your remote access address; SBS was installed with an answer file.Latest updates applied? So in the Exchange server if i replace server01.mydomain.com/exchange/user@mydomain.com with remote.mydomain.com/exchange/user@mydomain.com this might be the ticket. Yes! That's how I used to configure Entourage with SBS 2008 or just Exchange 2007. Now there's Entourage 2008 Web Services Edition. Uses Autodiscover. Requires no thinking, just as easy to configure as Outlook 2007. Same thing with Mac OS X Snow Leopard Mail.The beauty of the remote.mydomain.com approach is that you for all practical purposes have Entourage "Anywhere".MCTS: Messaging | MCSE: S+M | Small Business Specialist
