User can't send mail to PublicFolder
In our Domain, we use Public Folders. If i send an email to the public folder, it appears normaly. If i try it with an external account, yahoo or what else, to send an email to the public folder, it works also fine. But if any other user (Domain User) uses the mail adress, they're getting an undeliverable error...Someone got any idea? May i should change the permissions? Administrative permissions? Clientside permissions?GreetzDiagnoseinformationen fr Administratoren:

Hi,It seems that Anonymous has at least "Create Item" or higher permission on particular mail enabled public folder so it is getting emails from outside of your network. Additionally add or give "Create Item" permission to Default through outlook (if you are using PFDavAdmin to give permissions then Default is Everyone in it, give Create Item permission to Everyone) and check the situation. It may take sometime (upto 2 hours) to refresh the cache permission of public folder to accept emails or you may need to restart the Information Store service on mailbox server.Amit Tank | MVP - Exchange | MCITP:EMA MCSA:M | http://ExchangeShare.WordPress.com

Issue description: Domain users cant mail to a mail-enabled public folder
Error info: 550 5.2.0 STOREDRV.Deliver: The Microsoft Exchange Information Store service reported an error
Yes, Amits right. You should give enough permission to Default group. I can reproduce your symptom if I only grant Folder Visible permission to Default group.
Contributor permission will work, I tested it as well

Hello All,
I do have the same issue.
Last Modification:
1. Annonymous --> Folder visible and NONE
2. Default --> Folder visible and NONE
Only admin was able to send mails to the PF. No other users or no external users were able to send mails to the PF.
As guided above, I done the changes as:
1. Annonymous --> Folder visible & Read items and Reviewer
2. Default --> Folder Visible & Read items and Reviewer.
I guess now every user (internal and external) would be able to send mails to the PF. Waiting for the PF replication to chack the status. If I am going wrong, please guide me.
Thanks !!

If you want e-mail from the Internet to be accepted by a public foler
you must assign the role of "Contributor" to the anonymous user.

Thanks Rich,
I had done so. I will let you know if I succeed. :)
But a single doubt: Why Annonymous user should have contributor permission, and not Rievewer will work? Any specific reason for this?

Because the "Reviewer" role just lets them read items. Since there's
no need to allow anonymous users to read anything, and you just want
the e-mail to be dumped into the folder, the anonymous user needs the
"Contributor" role.
