User gets other users meeting confirmations despite no rules or delegation present
Hi all. This is a bit complicated but I'll do my best to explain it.We have two users within the same company and Exchange server; Cris and Gladys. If Cris recieves a confirmation for a meeting request sent to an external contact then Gladys sometimes also recieves the confirmation to this request. Gladys never sees the actual meeting request that Cris sends out.If certain internal users sends a meeting request to both Cris and Gladys then Gladys recieves both her and Cris' meeting request. Gladys can accept the meeting on behalf of Cris. I have checked Cris' Outlook client and no delegation is present and neither are any rules (at all). The same goes for Gladys. We are running Exchange 2007 SP1 and this problem has persisted through a number of update rollups. When tracking a confirmation for an external meeting request in the Exchange Message Tracking Tool Cris gets a "RECEIVE" command from "SMTP" and then a "DELIVER" from "STOREDRIV". Gladys gets a "RECIEVE" from "STOREDRIV" and a "DELIVER" from "STOREDRIV".This indicates to me that there are some sort of internal rule in the Exchange server that delivers this message to Gladys as well (or she too would've had "SMTP" as the source of the "RECEIVE" command). I can not for the life of me find this rule.Worth noting is that we've upgraded from Exchange 2003 but there are no Exchange 2003 servers in the Exchange organization any more. Gladys managed Cris mail for a period last autumn and was then assigned as a delegate to Cris. That is no longer the case.Is there by any chance some junk left behind in the innards of the Exchange rule set that I have yet to unearth? This makes no sense at all.I've been mucking about in the EMS but can't find a cmdlet that digs deep enough, so to speak.Any and all feedback on this is much appreciated.TIA!

Hi,It looks like there are some errors in your database which can only resolved by editing the database with mfcmapi. We once had this issue and it appeared that some delegates still resided in the database which did not exists anymore.Have a look at this article:http://groups.google.co.in/group/It_discussions/browse_thread/thread/cfc0a021715db0afRegards,Johanblog: www.johanveldhuis.nl

Issue description: Gladys sometimes will get confirmation messages of the meeting requests that Cris sent externally. Gladys can receive the meeting requests for her and Cris, and accept for both. Therere no rules and delegate on both Gladys and Cris currently, but, Gladys had been Cris's delegate for a period of time in the past Yes, Johans right, its definitely like the delegate rule issue. Please try to remove the delegate rule Check info: 1. Please run cmdlet <Get-Mailbox id AliasOfCris | Fl> via EMS, and check the value of GrantSendOnBehalfTo 2. Please check the value of publicDelegates attribute of Cris via ADSI Editor a. Launch ADSI Editor b. Find user object of Cris, right-click it and select Properties c. Locate publicDelegates attribute and check the value 3. In Criss outlook, please right-click all folders of the mailbox (Including the root) and check the permissions

Hi.Neither of the suggested resolutions works. There are no delegates to be found via Get-Mailbox or ADSIEdit. The thread about MFCMapi did not help as no delegate wasfound with that tool either (no "item in the Named column reflecting 0x6844101E" under step 8).I tried to look around with MFCMapi but as I am not at all familiar with that tool I didn't want to risk corrupting the mailbox.Any other tips would be very much appreciated.
