We are running Exchange Server 2003. Recently I noticed an event ID 623 in Application Logs on Exchange Server. During this time, lot of users faced disconnectivity to Exchange Server. I belief that Version Store is something where the Exchange Information Store service keeps records of incomplete transactions. Seems like the memory of version store got full and the new updates are getting rejected. This is causing serious problems. Please find the details of the error: Information Store () First Storage Group: The version store for this instance (0) has reached its maximum size of 155Mb. It is likely that a long-running transaction is preventing cleanup of the version store and causing it to build up in size. Updates will be rejected until the long-running transaction has been completely committed or rolled back. Is there anyway to increase the size of Version Store? Is there any registry key to look for? Secondly, i also noticed that Microsoft had released the Hotfix for this problem.
