Video Adapter Problems
Sorry guys, I posted this question in the wrong Forum, but if you have any ideas they will be appreciated. Video Problems I am dual booting Windows XP Pro with Windows Server 2003. I am having very strange things happening in both operating systems. My pointer is surrounded with a part of the video image and moves with the pointer. When viewing a document or web page and I scoll down, part of the image gets garbled with the new image. Also large black areas start appearing on the screen and they multiply until just a very small part of the screen is showing. Icons on the desktop and applications get blacked out or black lines run through them. Evern while the machine is booting upI get white spots on the screen.Thescreen willgo completely black for about one or two seconds and then come back on. Refreshing the screen sometimes temporarily cleans the srcreen but in about a minute the craziness starts again. This problem is happening in both operating sytems but is worse in XP.I have switched monitors, no difference. I have loaded what I think is the latest drivers for my video adapter which is the NVIDIA GeForce MX/MX 400. Does this sound like a video graphics card or driver only problem or could non compatible ram chips also cause this problem? Pretty crazy stuff, please respond with suggestions.
