Hi all,

Have been reading around and seems like that if a user photo is uploaded thru AD (with external tool or vbs script),then external wont be able to see profile picture (thru Lync).So far we have been using Set-UserPhoto  and external (O365 or on prem)can still not see our users profile picture.

The rest is working fine (meet,chat,video),but profile picture part is not working.

What is the workaround other than using Lync,OWA or sharepoint?

Is it a no go at all?

The only method is to publish pictures via a website: http://blogs.technet.com/b/jenstr/archive/2013/11/12/configuring-picture-from-a-web-address-in-lync-2013.aspx but it's not easy to do administratively on a users behalf. There may be a script in the gallery to help, but AD and Exchange pics won't be seen by federated users.
