I am creating an organizational chart in Visio 2007. Each shape that has text has an extra line added after the text. If I manually delete the extra space and line, as soon as I try to save the shape or click anywhere else it puts the extra character space and line back. This is preventing me from horizontally centering my text in any of the shapes. I have done at least one other chart where I didn't have this issue, but I can't find any formatting method to resolve this.

Then, this issue might be caused by the custom filed settings. Please go to organization chart tab=> options => fields and restore defaults to test.
