Office 2010 was installed then Visio 2013.  Now when opening a Visio file its says its not activated.  So I try to activate with the Visio key and the window tells me its not an Office 2013 key.

Could you give me the whole error message when you started Visio and enter the product key?

Did you use the Visio product key used before?

Then you could give a call to Microsoft Customer Service Center ,confirm the Key could be used in Visio 2013 and you'll get help to active the Visio2013.
