Vista, the sidebar, and the user
Weirdness again from Vista. I'm the only user and as such I'm the admin. After having sidebar turned offfor months and a few restore points later I attempted to start sidebar. Shazam! Shazam! Vista won't let me, the admin, run sidebar because, wait for it... drum roll please! Sidebar cannot be run because the admin has set it that way, or some such ____ meaning that ME the admin can't run it! Say what?! I never did any such thing, but apparently Vista thought I didn't need it any more. So long story short: Do this, open note pad and cut and paste this into note pab and save as whatever you want to call it, but use a .reg file extenstion not the txt. Then right click on the file and hit "merge" sidebar will now run! Yeah!

ok thanks, I didn't put it here just to muck things, but to the new user this site really does suck. nothing is labeled clearly and it's hit or miss to find the correct area. i know to you it is easy, but it's not designed the new user now is it?
