I wouldn't call myself a pro at the computer but I like to think that I pretty much know my way arounda computer however after reading others posts about the downgrade from Windows Vista to Windows XP I feel totally inadequate. So if someone with the patients to help me in laments terms I would be grateful.I am trying to go this downgrade on a HP Presario F500 laptop. Okay so I have backed up all the data that I wanted to keep (mostly music and pictures) onto my ipod. I have a Windows XP disc (the real thing not a recovery version). Here's where I get stuck. What do I do next? I read some posts and they talk about SATA drivers, do I have that? Can my laptop even take the downgrade? Will I loose all the applications that I have on my laptop now? Is there a company that will do this procedure for me?So if there is anyone out there who can guide me in this process step-by-step, orguide me to someone who can,I would appreciated it.
