W2k sbs migration to windows 2003/exchange 2007
We have an old W2k sbs server running exchange 2000. I purchased a new Windows 2003 stn(64bit) with exchange 2007 and added it to the existing domain running adprep /forestprep and adprep /domain prep to get it added. I installed AD on the windows 2003 stn server and have exchange 2007running. I moved all the mailboxes to exchange 2007.
I now need to remove the W2k SBS. I have read posts that I cannot just remove a SBS and that I needed to upgrade the w2k sbs to windows 2003sbs before I can move to windows 2003 stn.I did not see that in the beginning.I just followed instructions to migrate from exchange 2000 to exchange 2007. So this is where I am now. What do I need to do to get this SBS retired and running windows 2003 stn? We no longer want to run SBS.
