WM 6.1 Exchange 2003 sync issue
Our company is looking to deploy a Windows Mobile Solution across the company. We are running Exchange 2003 SP2 and Windows Mobile 6.1 (HTC Touch 3G). I am currently evaluating one of the handsets, which is not syncronising with the exchange server. Are there any pre-requisites software/config before the sync will take place. The evaluation user has full mobile access. I am getting no error codes or failure reports on sync, it is just not happening. We also have a certificate error on OWA, which we are looking to re-issue the cert, Is this preventing the sync? The sync will not work wireless or via active sync.Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks Raj, I have a copy of the cert, did you install it into the intermediate or trusted root CA? When i try to run the cert on the hand set it says that there is no file association, did you use software to install or copy into a dir. i cannot see any way to install certs.thanks for your help, sorry for my ignorance I have not used WM for a long time.

the way it did it was 1. I saved the copy of the cert from OWA url on the browser. (click on the lock sign on the URL, view certificate, details, copy to files, save to file and select DER Enocded binary).2. Copied the cert to my WM (any where on the memory).3. Double click on the cert and it should get installed.Raj

Have you selected enable unsuported devices In ESM under Mobile Services ? also make sure firewall is not blocking OMA publishing Configure OMA in Exchange 2003 Outlook Mobile Access (OMA) in Exchange Server 2003 Configure SSL on OMAVinod
