Hi,
This is failed because the calling AD account does not have the necessary access right to send EWS proxy traffic.
What is your Exchange Server role installed, is CAS proxy configured in your scenario?
Whether all the AD account is in your AD environment?
Please try to use this account to logon outlook, OWA, or other client access tool and then figure out after what action this event would be generated.
Besides, please follow the article below to check the settings on EWS virtual directory
Default settings for Exchange-related virtual directories in Exchange Server 2007
http://msexchangeteam.com/archive/2008/02/01/447989.aspx
More information need for further troubleshooting.
1. Please try to check event log from DC.
2. Please try to use ExBPA to have a health scan and check the report.
3. Is there any CAS publishing rule have been done?
4. Is there any proxy setting?

Hello,
I have exactly the same problem. Yesterday, everything was working fine.
We are installing a new site in another country so, in our Active Directory, we deleted the default site and create two new sites with our domain controller, networks, link between sites...
After this modification, everything was still working fine (exchange server, owa...) except blackberry communication with exchange server. Blackberry users can't receive mail anymore. I think that we have problem only with web services proxying (/EWS) because webmail is working fine. We get exactly the same error :
Event Type: Error
Event Source: MSExchange Web Services
Event Category: Core
Event ID: 12
Date: 04/11/2008
Time: 01:11:18
User: N/A
Computer: SERVER-04
Description:
Caller S-1-5-20 attempted to proxy EWS traffic to SERVER-04. This failed because the calling AD account does not have the necessary access rights to send EWS proxy traffic to SERVER-04
I think there is somehting with ou site configuration but I can't understand what.
Thanks for your help,
Zak.
