I used to feel like I was 'computer literate' .... tonight I feel totally 'computer illiterate'!!! And, I need held .l.. albeit simplistic! I am attempting to install Outlook 2007 on my computer (I've used it at work but never at home). As I attempt to fill in all the questions, when it comes to filling in the Pop/SMTP blanks I get an error. For example, I use several mail addys but we will use Yahoo for a test. When it states enter your POP addy I input pop.mail.yahoo.com and the same for SMTP (smpt.mail.yahoo.com). Then I input my name j********@yahoo.com followed on the next line by my password. I then press the "test" button and it continues to fail in that in cannot send a message. I know it is working because I use a cable modem and (without going through Outlook) I can log onto yahoo, hotmail and gmail. So, can someone please tell me (1) how simple it is to hook up Outlook and (2) then tell me step by step how to do it?? Thanks, Jim
