What do the Icons mean
I have two mailboxes in Exchange 2010 that have different Icons EMC\Recipient configuration\Mailbox and I cant find anything that tells me what the difference is telling me .... any clues

Besides Tim's input, please try to use MMC and then add Exchange Snap-in to check the issue again.
Also I recommend you to keep your Exchange Servers in same version.
