hello, you can hijack somebody's DNS and make then think they are on the site they want to be when in fact theDNS is resolving the site to a rogue IP address. Is this what you mean? i.e. bigbank.com's IP is 10.10.10.10 and you copy big banks web site to your rogue web server 10.10.20.10 then you want end users to go to your web site when they type www.bigbank.com you can: a. edit the a record or cnames in their DNS servers so that bigbank.com resolves to 10.10.20.10 instead of the correct IP b. get the client to point to a rogue dns like 10.10.20.5 that in turn resolves the fqdn to the incorrect IP either way, the end user will see a fake bigbank.com web site and may enter a user name/password/pin number that could be recorded by the rogue server.
