What is the flow to identify the item change to read or unread
In Normal Exchange 2010, when new message arrive, the message will mark as unread in OWA; Outlook and ActiveSync
When i click on the message it will become read status
May i know when the message arrive, is it the mailbox server will mark the message to read and sync to OWA; Outlook and Activesync??
After arrived, the message will be triggered to read by outlook; owa and Activesync than sync to Mailbox server???
I want to know more details
I try to found on technet all day, but i still cannot find the information.
Could someone help me and share the information?

The message, when it's created, has a MAPI property set by the server
so it's in an "unread" state. After that it's the client that changes
the status.

ActiveSync won't change the status unless you read the message.
Outlook may change the status if the message is visible in the reading
pane for longer than "X" seconds. OWA is probably the same way. Both
are configurable by the mailbox owner.
