The above question was NOT answered. We have the same problem. We have been using Workspaces in SharePoint 2010 and will now be upgrading to SharePoint 2013. (please do not send me the link stating that Workspaces are being discontinued, I ALREADY KNOW). The question asked by WilsonAmy was what will happen to the Workspaces we currently have? Information exists in them and we will want to have it available to the groups that created them. What do we need to do to preserve them in a useable fashion?
As a side note, there is no tool you have provided that can adequately replace Workspaces. The closest I have found is using a OneNote notebook, shared in OneDrive. Going forward, that is what we will use.
