HiI have windows 2008 domain and exchange 2007 with SP1When I am deleting windows AD accout from Active directory users and computers it did not prompt for deleting exchange 2007 mailbox and it deleted But when I am going to exchange management console and look into Disconnected Mailbox I did not find that user mailbox which account I have deleted from ADUC, The option to keep deleted mailbox for 30 (default setting) is there Why I cannot see mailbox in Disconnected Mailbox container after delete account from ADUCNagorimanagori

Any mailbox related operations should not be done via ADUC (in exchange server 2007). RunClean-MailboxDatabase seehttp://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb124076.aspxM

First of all, you should not use ADUC to manage Exchange 2007 recipients. You must use the Exchange Management Console. This is basic Exchange 2007 knowledge, but admittedly a new approach to this version.Second, in Exchange 2000/3 you would detach/delete a mailbox and it wouldn't show up in disconnected mailboxes until either the online maintenance ran or you manually ran the "Cleanup Agent". In Exchange 2007 the "Cleanup Agent" has been replaced with the Clean-MailboxDatabase command. HiNagori,It is really recommended to useEMC/EMSto modify or remove any mail enabled objects of Active Directory instead of ADUC becausethese are the tools can set all the attributes of Exchange 2007on recipients correctly and update things for further process. How to Remove a Mailboxhttp://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa995948.aspxWell, now you can runClean-MailboxDatabaseon the mailbox database where user's mailbox was hosted to force the cleanup the database immediately which will show up the disconnected mailbox.Cant see Deleted Mailbox in Disconnected Mailbox under Recipient Configurationhttp://exchangeshare.wordpress.com/2008/04/27/cant-see-deleted-mailbox-in-disconnected-mailbox-under-recipient-configuration/ Amit Tank | MVP - Exchange | MCITP:EMA MCSA:M | http://ExchangeShare.WordPress.com
