Where to go from here?
I am currently under a Windows 2003 AD environment with Exchange 2003 Enterprise Edition. The Exchange server itself is comprised of 5 HDDs in RAID 5 configuration with one hot spare. I'm pretty sure this isn't the best configuration, it should
be something like RAID 1+0 I'm sure. This is light years behind Exchange 2013
Is there anything I can do right now to increase the performance of the Exchange 2003 server as well as make it more resilient to disasters?
What paths can I take from this point forward to ensure the needs of having a redundant, load balanced and a properly constructed Exchange hardware environment? What would I need to migrate everything (mailboxes, data store information) from here to
there? I'm thinking at least bringing things up to Exchange 2010? Suggestions?

To move to Exchange 2010 is a good idea. By the way, you cannot move to Exchange 2013, so you will have to do it anyway.
