Why is Outlook altering links in the message body?

Skip next paragraph if explanation is of no importance.

I somewhat recently installed the CanIt Pro SPAM filtering software which has been working great.  I wanted to enable a function that places training links in the body of an email and then removes them when a message is forwarded/replied to.  The links are placed in the email and work exactly as they should but after numerous tests I have found that when replying/forwarding via Outlook 2010 and 2013 the links are not removed.  Replying/forwarding via OWA, active sync devices w/ multiple apps, different desktop mail apps removes the links fine however Outlook does not.  I found the link reference text is still the same however the link itself is altered to about:blank and because Outlook is altering the link the CanIt software can no longer recognize it which in turn means it can not be removed.  I have gone through each of the Outlook settings but nothing seems to make a difference.

Long story short Outlook is changing links to about:blank and I am unable to find why.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

From the description, you are using the CanIt Pro SPAM filtering software which has a function to remove links when a message is forwarded/replied to, am I correct?

How does Outlook alert the links in replying/forwarding email? Would you please give an example about this?

As far as I know, Outlook itself won't modify your links in email messages while forwarding/replying. Please try to temporarily disable the CanIt Pro SPAM filtering software and then test the issue again. If the links doesn't change in this situation, it means the issue is not with Outlook.
