Hi TECHGIANT,

As far as I know, Office 2010 is compatible with Windows 10 Technical Preview.

You can refer to this case and find the answer by BurrWalnut, it seems that he tested Office 2010 and 2007 with Windows 10 Technical Preview in his environment and they all work fine.

Hope it's helpful.

I have W10 Pro 64-bit and installed Office 2010 but at least on the first try there are a bunch of updates that wouldn't install.  I haven't told W10 to try again yet.

It took a repair install, repeated tries, each gain a few before all were installed.  I assume that they were out of sequence causing the problem.

Hello,

I have had a couple of clients upgrade their windows 8 to windows 10.

In windows 10 64bit, there seems to be a serious problem with Office 2010.

All office programs will start and seem to function normally until you try to save something.

I have specifically been working on Word and excel. Both programs hang and lose all data if you try to save the document or spreadsheet. In an effort to correct this problem:

1)I uninstalled Office 2010, re-installed it using windows 10. This had no effect, when you try to save a document the program hangs.

2)I set all office programs to run in "compatibility mode" using windows 7. This also had NO effect on the problem, everything works normally until you try to save something.

3)I ran them in administrator mode and the programs still hang when you try to save something.

I just made a change to an XL file and saved it with no problem but it was just a simple text file with no calculations.
