Will this work for Autodiscover?
Hey guys need to see if this will work. Right now we have Exchange 2007 running in a child domain. All our users' accounts are in the child domain. We have 2 CAS servers and a load balancer in front. What I would like to do is setup our load balancer with a cert for autodiscover.company.com and point it to either CAS server. Then set the internal and external url on each CAS server to autodiscover.company.com. Create a DNS A record called autodiscover.company.com and point that to our autobalancer. Currently we have issues with users in other outside untrusted domains with a mailbox in the child.company.com domain. When they open Outlook 2K7, they are prompted for their child.company.com user account/pw. They enter the correct information but they have problems seeing users' appointments when scheduling appointments. Is there anything that I am missing? Is it not that easy? Thanks, Mike

You dont already have a record defined for autodiscover in DNS? Regardless, yes you can do that.

I recommended you refer to the following article to configure Load Balancing Exchange 2007 Client Access Servers. http://www.msexchange.org/articles_tutorials/exchange-server-2007/high-availability-recovery/load-balancing-exchange-2007-client-access-servers-windows-network-technology-part3.html Kevin
