Windows 2003 Exchange Server - Mailbox Backup
Dear AllI have exchange 2003 server, i want to take entire mailbox backup of oneuser, without let him know that the backup is going on. its a criticle task to have his mails. how to do that?regardsSaifeeSaifee

You have two options... Take backup of full mailbox database (including all user mailboxes of a database) with NTBackup since brick level (user level) backup is not possible with NTBackup. Exchange 2003 Backup and Restore with NTBACKUP http://www.msexchange.org/tutorials/Exchange-2003-Backup-Restore-NTBACKUP.html Export the mailbox content to PST using ExMerge and save PST file at safe place. The backup can operate while the user is logged on. Exmerge can take a copy of mailboxes for individual users.Andrew Sword, MVP
