Windows 7 incompatible with Microsoft Exchange
I have a new Dell laptop with Windows 7 64 bit Intel i5 Core. I use it for work and in order to access email I must go through Microsoft Exchange. Originally I was not able to access any emails and only got a blank text box with a red x in upper right corner. I found fix for that and now can receive/view emails. I still can not generate new emails or reply to emails. When attempting to do so, I get message saying windows is checking for a solution to the problem and then an error message as follows: There has been an error removing certificates from this workstation error 0x80070005 acces denied. As a result, no email is sent. Plzzz help!!!

Windows 7 has nothing to do with it. What client are you using? Outlook 2007, 2010, or OWA? What is the exact error you are seeing? What certificates are you removing from your workstation?Tim Harrington - Catapult Systems - http://HowDoUC.blogspot.com

Do you know your Exchange Version? I am assuming you are using this laptop from home to access your work e-mail? Are you using Outlook Anywhere featrue?Thiyagu | MCTS/MCITP - Exchange 2007 | MCSE 2003[Messaging] | http://www.myExchangeWorld.com. Hi, This is definitely an issue with OWA. Try to add the owa url to trusted wbsites and check again. Regards from www.windowsadmin.info

Hello, Do you have drive mapped? if yes then disable that and try again. Even i would suggest you to loggin to the laptop using different user account and try accessing the same and do let us know. Arun Kumar | MCSE:W2K3 + Messaging | MCTS:Exchange 2007 | MCTS:OCS 2007 R2 | ITIL-F V3

Hi, Does the error message persist after disabling UAC which is suggested in above link? This issue can occur by UAC and you can disable it to access OWA without any error message. Alternatively, you can right click Internet Explorer and select to “Run as administrator” option to launch Internet Explorer. Note: You can also open Internet Explorer’s Properties and switch to Compatibility tab, and then select “Run this program as an administrator” option under Privilege Level.
