I think a recent update has caused problems with my pre installed Word Starter 2010 and Excel Starter 2010.  I can no longer view documents etc and a pop up is asking for the product key.  When I type it in it so it is not valid. What can I do?

As far as I know, Office Starter 2010 does not need a product key. So, which product key did you type in the pop-up window?

Please check if multiple versions of Office programs are installed on the computer. To do this, go to control panel, add or remove programs or programs and features list.

In addition, please try to uninstall the recent update to narrow down if the issue is caused by the update.
