I've seen a lot of threads that are fairly old about word 2013 freezing when auto saving.

Is this still an issue or one that was resolved?

We're getting more and more reports about word hanging for 10 seconds at a time or more, with some users reporting it seems to happen during an auto save. We've looked everywhere and can't see any network issues (users desktops and documents folders are all remote)

It seems to be site wide and doesn't matter if users are on one of our good PC's or one of our old soon to be decommissioned lumps. It also seems like it may of been happening for a while and no-one reported it.

Did you see the same issue when you working on a document stored locally (not on the desktop and documents folder)?

If issue doesn't repro for a locally stored document, then it's probably an issue with your network (remoted desktops and documents folder)

I would suggest you run network monitor and check the network activity during the freeze.
