Microsoft Office 2013 Word and Excel and freezing when using documents locally and on the network, the following were completed to troubleshoot but the problem still persists:

Windows 7 SP1 and all updates completed

All Office 2013 updates completed

Tested documents with other users, but just this one user on this one machine has this problem

Replaced the machine for the user, problem replicated on the new machine after a few days

Have you tried running in safe mode?

Go to: Run

Type: excel.exe /safe  > Press Enter

         Winword /safe  > Press Enter

If that loads, then you have an add on issue.
