a unique outlook 2003 problem
I havent found this problem to exist anywhere else on the internet (I dont know if I was looking hard enough heh).
My problem is this; my company has an exchange server with about 50 accounts. Everything works fine except this one little problem. when ever someone sends an email with a .msg or .pst attachment you can open it once butwhen you close the attachment you cant open it again unless you close outlook or click off the email. When you try to reopen the attached email you get a message pop up it displays "The Operation Failed". It isnt a major problem but its just an annoyance that the users would like fixed.
One solution I found is turning on caching but some mailboxes are huge and people dont have large drives.
So if anyone has a fix please your help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

Hello,
i am running into a similar problem. This is happening to only 1 user right now and it's intermittent. When the user receives an email with an email as an attachment (only happens with email as an attachment) then she gets the "Operation Failed" message.
When she closes outlook and restarts, the problem goes away.
she has MSFT Office Outlook 2003 (11.8169.8172) SP3
It's a recent problem.

My issue is nearly identical to this one, except a user is trying to SEND a file. Strangely, it only seems to be one particular file and certain users. I've asked her to save a fresh copy but I haven't heard anything back yet.

Did anyone completely fix this problem using the 2 suggestions of:
1) clearing the secure temp folder
2) removing add-ins
Thanks, Paul
