The reasons for accounts locking are many. Try these links:http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc738772(WS.10).aspxhttp://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc773155(WS.10).aspxhttp://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=en&FamilyID=1b6acf93-147a-4481-9346-f93a4081eea8ang=enIf you have a mobile device using ActiveSync (especially an iPhone)and you fail to change the password you're almost guaranteed to belocked out if your lockout policy is overly restrictive.Using the "domain\account" form of credential and exposing yourinfrastructure to authentication hacks from the Internet is anotherfun way to spend your time unlocking accounts (most accounts haverelatively short, easily guessed, names). Using a UPN where the"account" part is NOT your sAMAccountname or your email address willreduce that attack surface considerably.---Rich MatheisenMCSE+I, Exchange MVP--- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP
