active sync in exchange server 2010

By default activesync will be disabled for all the users. you can enable it for only those who need.

Open Exchange Management consol and from recepient configuration select the user and go to properties and under Mailbox Feature select Exchange ActiveSync and click on Disable.
This will disable ActiveSync per user.

this password will be configured by users themselves...

Thanks guys for you help, you know what active sync is enabled by default for all mailboxes that are created...need to change this...i guess by default it should be disabled...have to check if can make this change

There is an option in active sync policies to enable 'Required Password'..is that different than windows password ?..if i check this box..how yould user know password to enter??

Hi ALL,
Is that possible to limit active sync for limited number of users, i guess by default all mailbox users can sync their mailboxes with mobile phones
Here is my scneraio
i need to enable active sync and just give access to limited number of mailbox users.
