adding user CALs with a greyed out Add License button
I am trying to add 5 newlicenses to a Win2k3 Std. (standalone) Server. However, when I try to use the Control Panel - Licensing tool, I am unable to use the Add license button as it is greyed out. The Remove License button is greyed out as well. It is set to Per Device Per User. When I use the Administrative - Licensing tool, a License Logging Service Not Running message pops up. When I start the LLS, I can go in and add the clients through the Administrative - Licensing tool, but the Control Panel - Licensing tool is still disabled. I setup the box with 15 licenses initially and need to add 5 more as more users/devices were required since original install. It's been running ok with the original 15 CALs although LLS is normally not running. When we added a couple of new users, they weren't able to get on as we hit the 15 limit (unable to connect through Map Network Drive). Does anyone have any idea of why this is occurring? Did I make a mistake during initial configuration?
