can't install SCC from cmd line (problem with GUI install)
Cannot install exchange sp1 beta from GUI on single copy cluster (problem with browse button). So I'm trying it from the command line. However I cannot create the CMS. Below is the error. I am creating it in an existing cluster group and the only resource it creates is the ip address. Exchange Server component Clustered Mailbox Server failed. Error: Error:Cluster Common Failure Exception: Cluster Common Failure Exception: The group or resource is not in the correct state to perform the requested operation. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007139F) Cluster Common Failure Exception: The group or resource is not in the correct state to perform the requested operation. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007139F) The group or resource is not in the correct state to perform the requested operation. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007139F) any ideas pls ?

Youmight havetried to install the cluster using this syntax: Setup /newcms /CMSname:<NameofClusteredMailboxServer> /CMSIPAddress:<ClusteredMailboxServerIPAddress> This is for a CCR cluster and for some strange reason it will actually install if you try to repeat the command after about 45 minutes, of course the cluster will never work without a file share witness. Try to use this command instead: Setup /newcms /CMSname:<NameofClusteredMailboxServer> /CMSIPAddress:<ClusteredMailboxServerIPAddress> /CMSSharedStorage /CMSDataPath:<PathToSharedStorageForDatabase> You can find a step-by-step guide here: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb123969.aspx

I ran into this issue today, again had to wait for the CMS account to be replicated around AD, then it failed again because the SA service had not started, so bombed out on the Storage group resource bit. This is/was my fisrt MX2k7 cluster, what a painful exercise, why is it so messy, surly Microsoft could produce a document so it installs cleanly!!!!
