cannot force recurring meeting end date for user type mailbox

can anyone confirm that the "BookingWindowInDays" attribute under Set-CalendarProcessing only applies to resource mailbox and not user mailbox?

You can see that attribute exists on user mailbox, with the default value (days), but somehow you can still invite another user to infinite recurring meeting without having to specify end date (as long as you don't include a resource mailbox to the meeting).

I am on Exchange 2010 SP2.

As per this TechNet note, its applicable to resources

The BookingWindowInDays parameter specifies the maximum number of days in advance that the resource can be reserved. Valid input is an integer from 0 through 1080. When the value is set to 0, the resource can be reserved at any date in the future.

Hi ethan10,

We can refer to the BookingWindowInDays parameter from the following article:

That is to say the parameter is there for user mailbox, but not doing anything?

Hi ethan,

I cannot find the BookingWindowInDays attribute via ADSIEDIT or Get-mailbox. How did you find it?

Thanks,

Hi Simon,

BookingWindowInDays is part of the calendar Processing. You can find that using the below shell command

Get-CalendarProcessing has that attribute for user mailbox
